Since 1977, Childers Associates has been serving
clients in Georgia and throughout the southeast by providing
real estate appraisal and consultation services of the
highest quality on all types of commercial properties.
Our appraisal experience ranges from land to a diversity
of improved properties including multi-family, residential,
commercial, office, industrial and special purpose developments.
Our firm has in depth experience providing appraisals
for litigation support for eminent domain, zoning, foreclosure,
divorce and tax valuation issues. The firm's principals
have an excellent record providing court testimony for
a variety of clients. Childers Associates also provides
market value appraisals for mortgage lending purposes
for commercial banks, mortgage brokers and individual
investors. Our consulting assignments include litigation
support, highest and best use decisions, buy/sell valuations
and real estate marketing. The size of our firm allows
us to handle a wide variety of assignments from single
commercial lots to more complex, multi property assignments.
One of our most interesting assignments occurred during the build up to the 1996 Olympics when we served as the supervising firm in charge of hiring all appraisers and reviewing all of the appraisals for the properties acquired for the Centennial Olympic Park developed in downtown Atlanta. More recently, we served as the lead appraisal firm in valuing the properties necessary for development of the 17th Street Bridge, which crosses Interstate Highways 75 and 85, and connects the Atlantic Station complex with Midtown Atlanta. In 2004, we were retained to appraise the land and air rights for the proposed Multimodal Station in downtown Atlanta. The Multimodal Station will serve as the collecting link for bus, commuter rail and MARTA rail in downtown Atlanta. In addition, we are also responsible for appraising the surface and air rights for a multiple bridge replacement project in the downtown area. |
